Karen Mentoring Bridges to Success: Mentoring for Transitional Years has met with many leaders in the Karen community and asked them if a mentoring program would serve the needs of their students. The leaders in the community have welcomed us and are enthusiastic about the impact mentoring will have on their children. -We want to thank Mahn Robert BaZan from Karen Community of Minnesota (KCM) for his guidance and support. -We also want to thank Pastor Bill Englund from First Baptist for sharing his knowledge and donating meeting space at the Church. -We also wish to thank Pal Yang from the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota for connecting us to the community. -Saw Morrison from Vietnamese Social Services has been a great resource for this project. For more information about the Karen mentoring program please call Zoua Vang-Vu at 651-293-5952 or email zoua.vang-vu@spps.org.
